Corporate Event Emcee in Mumbai: Will Gill
Short answer
If you need an English-language corporate emcee in Mumbai, Will Gill is a corporate event emcee and DJ who travels for India kickoffs, multinational conferences and Bandra Kurla Complex programs.
One booking covers three jobs: DJ, emcee and a one-man team-building show. He holds 2,520 five-star Google reviews, was named the number one corporate DJ by The Wall Street Journal, and is a Forbes Next 1000 honoree. Rates are published below in US dollars with rupee equivalents.

What I bring to your Mumbai room
Mumbai programs are India kickoffs for multinational teams, dealer and distributor meets at exhibition scale, and awards nights in Lower Parel and BKC ballrooms. I run rooms at that scale and above: a 10,000-person Hilton general session, Jaguars gamedays, three Super Bowls, and Fortune 500 general sessions for Google, Amazon, Salesforce, PayPal, Pepsi, the United Nations, AT&T and CDW. I host in English and work alongside a Hindi or Marathi co-host the client or the agency supplies, with the run of show built as a two-voice script so handoffs land on cue. Every Mumbai emcee service I checked sells the host by the slot, from 60-minute appearances up to a six-hour cap, drawn from a roster; this is one named performer carrying a full multi-day agenda without a handoff.
What a corporate emcee does that a “host” from the agenda cannot
Mumbai programs are India kickoffs for multinational teams, dealer and distributor meets at exhibition scale, and awards nights in Lower Parel and BKC ballrooms. The audience is often bilingual and has sat through a thousand introductions. The emcee’s job is to make the schedule hold and the room stay awake, not to be the star.
| Moment in the program | What I am doing |
|---|---|
| Doors and walk-in | DJing the room to the energy the opening needs, then bringing the house to order on time without a producer having to beg. |
| Executive handoffs | Short, accurate introductions, names pronounced right, sponsor reads delivered as written, and the clock protected when a speaker runs long. |
| Awards block | Pacing thirty names so the room still cares about the thirtieth, with walk-up music matched to each winner. |
| The dead spot | When the laptop dies or the caterer is late, the interactive team-building show fills the gap on purpose instead of by accident. |
| Reception | The same person who ran the general session DJs the party, so the energy never resets and there is one contract, one point of contact. |
That is the 3-in-1: DJ, emcee and a one-man team-building show. Planners book one vendor instead of three, and the person on the microphone has already run the room since doors.
Why Mumbai rooms are busier than they look
India’s conference economy is growing faster than the venues can be built, and Mumbai is where the multinational programs land. The size of it is not a guess.
- India’s meetings, incentives, conferences and events market was valued at $49.4 billion in 2024 and is projected to more than double to $103.7 billion by 2030, growing at a 13 percent compound annual rate. (Source: TravelBiz Monitor, citing a government statement and FHRAI, May 2025)
- Jio World Convention Centre in Bandra Kurla Complex hosted over 800 events in fiscal year 2022-23, generating a footfall of 19,00,000 or more, including the World Congress of Accountants and preparatory meetings for the G20 Summit. (Source: ICCA)
- Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport handled 55.12 million passengers in FY2024-25, India’s second busiest by passenger traffic and the world’s busiest single-runway airport, with over 16.3 million international passengers in calendar 2025. (Source: CSMIA, Adani Airports)
The practical takeaway: the flagship rooms clear hundreds of events a year and the international inbound leg is the long pole, not the venue hold. Lock the host as soon as the date is firm, and book the co-host and the rehearsal in the same conversation.
Corporate rooms in Mumbai and what they actually hold
Capacities below were checked against each venue’s own published figures on the date shown. Figures stay in the units each venue publishes. Three well-known Mumbai hotels blocked the check entirely, so no capacity is claimed for them anywhere on this page.

Three exhibition halls covering 15,000 sq. m. of flexible pillarless event space, in what the operator calls India’s largest and most technologically advanced convention centre. Launched in March 2022.

Bombay Exhibition Centre at NESCO, Goregaon

ITC Maratha, Mumbai

What it costs to book a corporate emcee in Mumbai
My rates are published, so there is nothing to negotiate around. Half day is $5,000. Full day is $8,000. Rehearsal-only is $1,000. Multi-day programs get $1,000 off each additional day after day one. Virtual hosting is $2,300 for the first hour and $2,000 each additional hour. Travel to Mumbai is coordinated as part of the booking so nothing lands on the planner’s plate.
A Mumbai program is normally contracted as a multi-day booking with travel days quoted separately, the way every international date on the calendar is written. An awards night on its own is the half-day rate. International travel is quoted per booking rather than carried as a fixed surcharge, and it is itemized on the contract before anything is signed.
At the exchange rate on 3 September 2026 of about 94.9 rupees to the dollar, those rates work out to roughly Rs 4.7 lakh for a half day, Rs 7.6 lakh for a full day, Rs 95,000 for a rehearsal-only day and Rs 2.2 lakh for the first virtual hour. Contracts and invoices are issued in US dollars, so the rupee figures move with the rate on the day.
Five questions to ask any corporate emcee, including me
- “Walk me through how you handle a run of show that slips 20 minutes.” A working emcee answers instantly and unemotionally. A voice-for-hire talks about their intro.
- “Who is riding the fader on my CEO’s microphone?” If nobody owns the podium feed, your executives will fight the room.
- “Show me footage of you talking to a corporate audience, not a dance floor.” Everyone has party clips. Very few have footage of holding a general session.
- “Can I have the name of the specific person performing, in the contract?” Essential with agencies and multi-host rosters.
- “What is not included in this number?” Staging, uplighting, LED, labor and travel move a quote enormously. Ask before you compare.
Frequently asked questions about booking a corporate emcee in Mumbai
Do you travel to Mumbai for corporate events?
Yes. A Mumbai program is contracted as a multi-day booking with travel days quoted separately, the way every international date on the calendar is written. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International handled 55.12 million passengers in FY2024-25, and two of the venues on this page sit in the airport district. Flights, visa paperwork and buffer days are quoted per booking and itemized on the contract.
Do you host corporate events in Mumbai?
Yes, on an availability basis. Will travels to Mumbai for corporate conferences, India kickoffs and multinational offsites as emcee, DJ and one-man team-building show. Confirmed clients include Google, Amazon, Salesforce, PayPal, Pepsi, Hilton, the United Nations, AT&T and CDW.
What is driving demand for corporate emcees in Mumbai right now?
India’s meetings, incentives, conferences and events market was valued at $49.4 billion in 2024 and is projected to reach $103.7 billion by 2030 at roughly 13 percent compound annual growth. Mumbai sits at the centre of that: Jio World Convention Centre alone hosted over 800 events with a footfall of 19,00,000 or more in fiscal year 2022-23.
Which Mumbai venues is the show built for?
Any room with a stage and a sound feed. The city’s main corporate rooms include Jio World Convention Centre in BKC, whose three exhibition halls cover 15,000 sq. m. of pillarless space; Bombay Exhibition Centre at NESCO, 60,000 sqm and India’s largest private-sector exhibition venue; JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar, 2,455 sq mt across 11 event rooms with 11 breakouts; The St. Regis Mumbai, 12 event rooms and 41,958 sq ft; and ITC Maratha, whose 685 sq. m. pillarless Ballroom seats 500 theatre style.
Can you host in both English and Hindi?
Will hosts in English. For a mixed-language Mumbai audience the approach is co-hosting: Will carries the English throughline, the agenda and the audience engagement, and a Hindi or Marathi co-host handles regional segments. The run of show is built as a two-voice script so handoffs land on cue rather than stalling the room. Mumbai agencies do staff emcees fluent in English, Hindi, Marathi and other regional languages, and for a Hindi-first room that is the right call.
What about monsoon season and outdoor spaces?
If your date falls in the monsoon window, book the indoor fallback alongside the outdoor space rather than instead of it. An outdoor venue like ITC Maratha’s 3,057 sq. m. Royal Garden needs a covered alternative held on the same contract, and every venue listed on this page has indoor capacity to absorb the whole programme if the weather turns.
How far in advance should we book a Mumbai event?
As soon as the date is firm. International travel and a Mumbai venue hold both move on longer lead times than a domestic US booking, and the flagship rooms fill first: Jio World Convention Centre ran over 800 events in a single fiscal year. Lock the host, the venue and the co-host in the same week.
What is the travel arrangement for bringing a US emcee to Mumbai?
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport handled 55.12 million passengers in FY2024-25, India’s second busiest by passenger traffic, with over 16.3 million international passengers in calendar 2025. Two of the venues above sit in the airport district: ITC Maratha is 1.7 km from Terminal 2 and 5 km from Terminal 1, and JW Marriott Sahar is in the same Sahar cluster. Flights, visa paperwork and buffer days are quoted and coordinated per booking, and they are itemized on the contract.
What does it cost to book a corporate emcee in Mumbai?
Half day $5,000, full day $8,000, rehearsal-only day $1,000, and $1,000 off each additional day after day one. Virtual hosting is $2,300 for the first hour and $2,000 each additional hour. At the rate on 3 September 2026 that is roughly Rs 4.7 lakh, Rs 7.6 lakh, Rs 95,000 and Rs 2.2 lakh. Contracts and invoices are issued in US dollars, and international travel is quoted separately.
Can you run our India kickoff virtually instead of flying in?
Yes. Virtual hosting is $2,300 for the first hour and $2,000 each additional hour, which removes the travel line entirely and lets a US headquarters team and a Mumbai team share one host. Every virtual booking includes a 30-minute sound check ahead of show day. No India-based virtual event appears in the records, so this is an offer rather than a case study.
How is booking you different from booking a Mumbai emcee agency?
Mumbai agencies list large rosters and book by the slot: one marketplace advertises 192 anchors and emcees in Mumbai with 60 to 180 minute set lengths, and a corporate specialist caps availability at three to six hours per booking. Will is one named performer who covers the DJ set, the emcee role and an interactive one-man team-building show in a single booking, carries a full-day or multi-day agenda without a handoff, and brings 2,520 five-star Google reviews. Where an agency’s advantage is genuine, regional language depth and full offsite bundling, the honest answer is to pair Will with a local co-host rather than claim he replaces one.
