Caesars Palace or CAESARS FORUM? Confirm the Building Before You Sign
This is the detail Las Vegas planners get wrong most often, and almost no venue guide flags it. Caesars Entertainment runs two separate conference buildings about a mile apart, and both get called “the Caesars convention center” in email threads. They sit on different streets, they carry very different footprints, and only one of them has guest rooms above it. Book the wrong one and your attendees arrive at the wrong side of the Strip.

Which Setup Actually Fits in the Flagship Ballroom
Square footage alone does not tell you whether your program fits. What you need is the capacity by setup, because a banquet with rounds and a dance floor eats far more room than theater seating. Here is the published capacity for the 50,944 square foot flagship ballroom, the largest single room at Caesars Palace.
| Setup | Capacity |
|---|---|
| Banquet rounds | 5,555 |
| Theater | 5,260 |
| Cocktail rounds | 4,160 |
| Classroom | 3,450 |
| Ceiling height | 22.2 ft |
Source: Cvent venue listing for Caesars Palace Las Vegas. That 22.2 foot ceiling matters more than planners expect. It is what lets you fly a real lighting rig and a full size LED wall instead of settling for ground stacked panels.
The Room Name on Your Floor Plan May Not Match the Directory
Caesars Palace has renamed parts of the property over the years. The original Roman Tower became the Julius Tower during the resort’s 50th anniversary in 2016, part of a $75 million tower renovation inside a $1 billion investment. The ballroom names followed the towers, and the third party venue directories did not all update in step.
The practical result: Cvent lists the 50,944 square foot flagship as the Julius Ballroom, while The Vendry lists a 50,944 square foot Octavius Ballroom with the same 5,555 seated capacity. Same footprint, two names in circulation.
What to do about it: before you ship a single road case, confirm the exact room name written into your signed contract, then make that name match the one on the floor plan, the load-in paperwork, the signage order and the badge stock. Do not rely on the name in a directory listing or an old proposal deck.
What the Las Vegas Numbers Say About Booking Caesars Palace
Las Vegas had a rough year for tourism in 2025, but the meetings business did not move with it, and that gap is the whole argument for the city as a corporate host.
- Convention attendance held flat while leisure travel fell. The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority recorded 5,988,200 convention attendees in 2025 against 5,994,800 in 2024, a dip of roughly 0.1 percent. Over the same period total visitor volume dropped from 41,676,300 to 38,545,700, a decline of about 7.5 percent. Corporate programs kept coming when vacationers did not. (LVCVA Historic Tourism Statistics, 1970 to 2025)
- Caesars Palace is a meaningful share of a very large market. The LVCVA December 2025 inventory puts the Las Vegas area total at 14,514,403 square feet of meeting space across 150,300 rooms. Caesars Palace accounts for 300,000 of those square feet and 3,794 of those rooms. (LVCVA hotel and meeting space inventory, December 2025)
- The competing Caesars property is bigger, and that is the point. CAESARS FORUM carries 550,000 square feet and holds up to 10,000 people, which is why it gets recommended for citywide programs. If your headcount is under about 5,000 and you want attendees sleeping above the ballroom, Caesars Palace is the better fit. (Meeting Professionals International)
For a wider view of the market, compare against the MGM Grand Convention Center, then look at what a Las Vegas program costs with a corporate DJ in Las Vegas and a corporate emcee in Las Vegas on the contract.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where is the Caesars Palace Convention Center?
Caesars Palace and its convention center are at 3570 South Las Vegas Boulevard, Las Vegas, NV 89109, on the west side of the Strip. Do not confuse that with 3911 Koval Lane, which is the address of CAESARS FORUM, a separate Caesars Entertainment conference center east of the Strip.
Is the Caesars Palace Convention Center the same as CAESARS FORUM?
No. They are two different buildings about a mile apart. Caesars Palace holds 300,000 square feet of meeting, convention and ballroom space inside the resort, with 3,794 guest rooms above it. CAESARS FORUM is a standalone 550,000 square foot conference center that opened on October 25, 2020 and has no guest rooms in the building.
How much meeting space does Caesars Palace have?
300,000 square feet of meeting, convention and ballroom facilities across roughly 75 meeting rooms. Both the Caesars Palace fact sheet and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority December 2025 inventory list the same 300,000 square foot figure.
What is the largest ballroom at Caesars Palace?
The flagship ballroom is 50,944 square feet with a 22.2 foot ceiling. Published capacities are 5,555 for banquet rounds, 5,260 theater, 4,160 cocktail rounds and 3,450 classroom.
Why do listings show both a Julius Ballroom and an Octavius Ballroom?
Because the property renamed towers over time and the venue directories did not all update together. Cvent lists the 50,944 square foot flagship as the Julius Ballroom; The Vendry lists a 50,944 square foot Octavius Ballroom with the same 5,555 seated capacity. Confirm the exact room name in your signed contract before ordering signage or shipping gear.
How many meeting rooms and guest rooms does Caesars Palace have?
Roughly 75 meeting rooms. On guest rooms, the LVCVA December 2025 inventory lists 3,794, while the Caesars Palace fact sheet lists 3,980 rooms including more than 300 suites across five hotel towers.
Can Caesars Palace handle a product launch or a large general session?
Yes. The two largest ballrooms carry big exhibit footprints with smaller side rooms for breakouts and gathering areas, and the resort’s Colosseum seats 4,300 for a general session or a headline moment.
Does the venue supply a DJ and emcee, or do I book my own?
The venue supplies the room, the catering and the house production. Talent is yours to book. Will Gill covers Las Vegas corporate programs as a 3-in-1 DJ, emcee and one-man team-building show. Check your date.
