MGM Grand Convention Center – A Perfect Match For Your Event

The MGM Grand Conference Center sits inside one of the most iconic resorts on the Las Vegas Strip, and after a sweeping $300 million renovation completed in late 2025, it has never been better positioned to host a world-class corporate event. Whether you’re planning a multi-day conference, an awards gala, or a high-energy company kickoff, this venue delivers the infrastructure, the amenities, and the energy that Las Vegas is built on.
And yes — the old saying still holds. What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. But the stories your attendees carry home from a well-produced event here? Those travel everywhere.
Event Spaces at MGM Grand Convention Center
The MGM Grand Conference Center encompasses over 850,000 square feet of meeting space, including an expansive 380,000-square-foot conference center spread across three floors. That scale makes it one of the most flexible meeting facilities in the country, capable of handling everything from intimate boardroom sessions to massive general assemblies under the same roof.
The Marquee Ballroom is the largest ballroom in the conference center, offering 90,000 square feet of space alongside top-tier business and catering services. The Studio Ballroom is centrally located within the convention center, offering 10,000 square feet and the capacity to hold up to 900 guests, along with a dedicated VIP area for more private breakout needs. The Grand Garden Arena rounds out the major event spaces at 100,000 square feet with a capacity of up to 17,000 people — and can be transformed into a full exhibit hall within a 45-minute window.
Additional ballroom options across the property include:
- Grand Ballroom: 61,575 square feet
- Vista Ballroom: 5,224 square feet
- Premier Ballroom: 49,225 square feet
Pre-function spaces flooded with natural light and an outdoor Marquee Courtyard give planners options for unique setups that go beyond the standard ballroom configuration. For multi-day programs, the ability to move your group from general session to breakout to dinner to an evening experience — all without leaving the resort — is a genuine operational advantage.
A $300 Million Upgrade for Your Attendees
MGM Grand completed a $300 million transformation of 3,969 rooms and suites in its main tower in November 2025, featuring sophisticated interiors designed by global architecture firm Gensler in partnership with MGM Resorts Design and Development. For event planners, this directly solves one of the most common friction points in conference planning: attendees who are tired or distracted because their room experience didn’t deliver.
The renovation added 111 new suites, bringing the total to 753, ranging from 675 to 1,784 square feet. Rooms now feature spa-inspired walk-in showers, illuminated closets, blackout drapery, wall-mounted Smart TVs, and USB and USB-C charging stations on both sides of the bed. The design draws on the energy of the disco era, with bold artwork and LED light installations that give the property a fresh, unmistakably Las Vegas personality.
For your VIP guests and speakers, the new suites feature open layouts, entertainment areas with sectional sofas, and flexible spaces designed for both work and relaxation. The rooms are brighter, quieter, and far more functional — particularly for attendees moving between conference sessions throughout a multi-day program.
Five Green Keys: A Sustainable Venue Choice

The MGM Grand holds a Level 5 Green Key meeting rating — the highest available — from Green Key Global, the leading international certifying authority for sustainable hotel operations. The designation covers clean air standards, eco-friendly technology, and responsible operational practices throughout the facility.
For organizations with ESG commitments or sustainability requirements in their vendor selection process, this certification carries real weight. MGM Grand was among the first properties in North America to achieve this designation, and it remains one of the few large-scale Las Vegas convention venues to hold it. According to the meetings industry, roughly 68% of corporate event planners now factor sustainability certifications into their venue decisions — making the Green Keys rating a practical differentiator, not just a talking point.
Entertainment and Dining Around Your Event
Part of what makes MGM Grand work so well as a multi-day conference venue is what surrounds the meeting rooms. The resort features KÀ by Cirque du Soleil, the Grand Garden Arena, David Copperfield Theatre, Brad Garrett’s Comedy Club, and the Jabbawockeez — now featuring their immersive new FREQNCY residency. These are not just amenities. They are built-in team dinner and evening programming options that planners can layer directly into the run of show without anyone needing to leave the property.
On the dining front, signature restaurants include Tom Colicchio’s Craftsteak, Wolfgang Puck, Joël Robuchon, L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon, and Morimoto — which recently completed a full design and menu refresh. Nightlife includes Hakkasan Las Vegas, one of the most recognized nightclub brands in the world, available for private buyouts during non-operating hours. The 6-acre Grand Pool complex, Palm Tree Beach Club by DJ Kygo’s Palm Tree Crew, and the 30,000-square-foot Grand Spa and Fitness Center give attendees meaningful ways to decompress between sessions — which translates directly into more engaged audiences when programming resumes.
For fans of pop culture, The FRIENDS™ Experience — a fully interactive, photo-ready attraction based on the iconic television series — adds another dimension to what guests can explore between sessions.

Maximize Your Time in Vegas
MGM Grand is one of the most complete event ecosystems in the country. The meeting infrastructure is world-class, the guest rooms just completed a full overhaul, and the entertainment calendar is always stacked. What it does not come with is the human energy that turns a well-planned event into a genuinely memorable one.
Filling the dead air zones in your run of show — the transitions, the opening, the awards ceremony, the closing dinner — with high-energy DJ sets, engaging emcee work, and audience interaction can be the difference between an event people tolerate and one they talk about for years. If you’re hosting an event at MGM Grand Convention Center and want to level up the experience, hire an Event Emcee and DJ who has performed in environments exactly like this one. Your attendees will thank you. You can thank us later.
